Classes
The Wing Chun Boxing Academy offers group classes and private lessons for teenagers and adults, ages 13 and up. Classes are small and focused and provide students direct interaction with the instructor and staff. Students looking for more individualized attention and personalized lessons can request private lessons.
Prospective students must call first to observe a Wing Chun class or schedule a private lesson.

Beginner Level Wing Chun Class Curriculum
Beginner’s classes focuses on the foundation of Wing Chun Kung Fu and its applications for self-defense. Classes include a series of warm ups, exercises, conditioning, the Sil Lim Tau form (小念頭), horse stance training exercises, Wing Chun skill builders, and self-defense applications. Students will begin learning basic types of attacks and counterattacks incorporating punches, kicks, strategic footwork, and grappling. Students will begin learning relaxation, balance, structure, centerline philosophy, as well as the foundations of chi sao (黐手), or “sticky hands”, and trapping hands.
With time in the art, more experienced students will continue learning more advance techniques and deepen their understanding of the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu and its applications for self-defense.
Intermediate Level Wing Chun Class Curriculum
Student’s who have obtained a proficiency in the beginner’s level curriculum, can intensify their understanding of Wing Chun Kung Fu and its applications for self-defense in the Intermediate level classes. Classes build on the Beginner’s level classes to include further conditioning drills, the Chum Kiu form (尋橋), horse footwork training exercises, intermediate-level Wing Chun skill builders, and self-defense applications. Students will begin learning more sophisticated types of attacks and counterattacks incorporating punches, kicks, strategic footwork, and grappling. Students will further their understanding of structure, angle, balance, bridging, elbow pressure, horse pressure, as well as chi sao (黐手), or “sticky hands”, and trapping hands.
With time in the art, more experienced students will continue learning more advance techniques and deepen their understanding of the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu and its applications for self-defense.
